What is Helium-3?
Helium-3 is a rare stable isotope of helium, with unique properties. It is used for border security, medical imaging, and as an essential supply chain element for quantum computing and nuclear fusion. It is produced in the sun and expelled in plasma streams called “solar wind”. When this solar wind encounters the magnetic field around the earth, it is deflected away, making Helium-3 one of the rarest elements on earth.

Our moon (having no magnetic field) has been absorbing solar wind for over 4 billion years, making it a fertile isotope resource. Current estimates place lunar deposits of Helium-3 at 1-3 million tonnes.
